About Us
D.H. Yost & Son was founded in 1995 by Daniel Harry Yost, a lifelong Chester County native, proud grandfather "Poppop”, father, and charismatic businessman. Dan has been dedicated to serving his community for over 60 years. Throughout his career, he has gained a wealth of experience in various trades—from working in his family’s painting business, building homes in Chester County, to serving as a foreman on large commercial projects. After spending five years restoring pools, Dan decided to start his own pool restoration business in 1995. What began as a one-man operation quickly grew into a trusted local business. Dan formed a small crew of workers, and in 2002, his son, Matthew Yost, joined him, officially turning D.H. Yost into D.H. Yost & Son. For over 20 years, Dan and Matt have worked side by side, delivering quality craftsmanship and exceptional service. In 2019, Dan passed the leadership of the company to Matt, though Dan remains actively involved in the business in sales and scheduling he continues offering guidance and expertise. Today, D.H. Yost & Son is proud to be a multi-generational family business. Matt has welcomed his nephew, Chase Semanyk, into the company, marking three generations of commitment to excellence. We take pride in our work, our legacy, and the relationships we build with our community.
